The end of my era as Chair - Hydrological forecasting @ EGU

EGU24 (14-19 April 2024) was my last as the chair of the HS4 Hydrological Forecasting sub-division. It had been a great pleasure working for EGU and specifically for HS4 over the past 4 years (2020-2024).

Looking back, my biggest achievements had been to: (1) ensure that all sessions recognized the Equality-Diversity-Inclusion principles (EDI logo), (2) welcome 2 new sessions/topics, and (3) see a 43% increase in our abstracts since 2020.

Despite the mixed feelings of stepping down, I felt a strong relief that it was Prof. Louise Slater who stepped in as the new chair. I am very confident that she will do a great job and wish her good luck!

As every year, a memorable HEPEX dinner took place later on the evening.
